Nazca Lines Monkey
The giant geoglyphs at Nazca in Southern Peru date from 500BCE-500CE with a total of 70 figures. These spectacular zoomorphic designs carved into the Nazca desert can be best seen from light aircraft and this poses many questions. How did they see the finished designs, how did they calculate the measurements and who were they for?
The monkey glyph measures 330-feet-long. The monkey is known for its playfulness, curiosity, defensiveness and family nurturing. These agile creatures display their caring natures by grouping together in a village-like atmosphere with several family groups clustering together. The monkey is a symbol of exploration, energy, curiosity, youthfulness, protection and family.
