The Triple Goddess represents the maiden, mother and crone and the waxing, full and waning moon. In ancient pagan times the goddess ruled supreme and could represent one goddess with three aspects to her nature or three named goddess’s that work as one. The triple Goddess represents the stages of a woman’s life and the exploration, growth and understanding that occur. Origins of the triple goddess go back before Roman times to the when life was based in nature worship and also popular in England from the twentieth-century onwards.  The symbol itself is a later development to reclaim the heritage of goddesses and nature based religions by Neo-pagan’s. The triple goddess is well-known in Celtic or European cultures and mentioned in Roman literature. This is a symbol of the divine feminine; intuition, empowerment, creative energy, spiritual insight, wisdom and mystery.
