Wind Chime – Peacock

The peacock symbolizes dignity, love and beauty. In China, the bird was a symbol of the Ming Dynasty, representing divinity, rank, power, and beauty. The peacock with its tail of 100 eyes is also associated with the goddess Guan Yin who helps the suffering and thus transmutes evil into beauty. In this sense, the peacock resembles protection and holiness. Stunning in its beauty, the peacock is considered the manifestation of the celestial Phoenix on earth.

Bells have long been used by shaman for protection and to scare off dark and negative energies. Today bells are used in ceremonies to clear away stagnant energies, but also used in ceremonial dances of many cultures to celebrate joy and happiness. The nature conscious use chimes and bells to notice subtle differences in wind direction or weather patterns.

Length: 60cm, including bunting and cord. Made in China.
