Star of David – Hexagram Large

The Star of David is the sacred symbol of the Jewish religion. The earliest use of this symbol was seen in the form of a hexagram – two triangles over laid in opposite directions to form a star. Records show these designs were used as decorative motifs in synagogues from the 3rd century BCE onwards. The star is also known as the Shield of David or Magen David in Hebrew. The Star of David with its Biblical origins is a powerful symbol of humanity bathing in God’s love. This symbol has a deep mystical quality for the initiated. The six points give balance to heaven and earth and comfort to those of the Jewish Faith.
