Description

Triskelion

This is a symbol of tribal migration and clan movements that started 5000 ago and populated parts of Europe. It is mainly found in Bronze Age Europe, with strong Celtic ties (especially the United Kingdom, Ireland and parts of France). Therefore the triskelion is a symbol of travel, family unity and community. The three outward legs are walking forward with purpose. Three is a highly spiritual number that can represent the Mother, Maiden and Crone or the Holy Trinity when Christianity arrived in Celtic Territories. This is a symbol of movement, spiritual growth and new horizons.
