The gentle buzz in the garden during spring and summer is delightful. Bees really are a special part of eco-systems, public parks and vegetable gardens. Pollination creates the food we often take for granted and is a vital part of plant health. The worker bees have their orders from the Queen and will travel for many kilometres/miles to complete their daily tasks. Bees are great builders; their beautiful geometric hive patterns provide new life and honey. Bees are endangered due to the use of commercial pesticides, but humanity is learning to protect these wonderful insects. Bees are a symbol of growth, abundance, industry, natural balance and working together as one community.
