Turtles have their tasks and get on with it, whether that be traveling the currents or laying eggs at certain locations. Wisdom is associated with the turtle because of their longevity; they live between 30 and 100 years. That is a lot of time to discover the world’s oceans. The turtle is a peaceful creature, but if under attack its very thick shell is useful for protection. Turtles are endangered in many parts of the world because of fisheries, plastics in our oceans and loss of habitat due to climate change. Many programs to remove plastic have begun, along with turtle breeding programs. Celebrate the steady, peaceful and determined path of the turtle.
