Description
Fluer-de-lis – Royal Blue & Gold
This is a noble symbol that represents more than a few of the royal families in Europe, though best known in France. The name in French says flower lily. The symbol has become quite mysterious with its connection to the theory of a royal bloodline going all the way back to Jesus and Mary Magdalene. The Fleur-delis can also be seen on many flags and shields since medieval Europe and is also the symbol of Florence. This symbol is so prevalent it also filters down to America and Canada. It is thought the three petals represent medieval social classes those who worked, those who fought and those who prayed.
