The Jerusalem/Crusaders Cross
This cross is a combination of one centre cross and four smaller crosses – five in total. This cross came to life during the many Christian Crusades from Europe to the holy land of Jerusalem. This was a symbol of the efforts to take back the Holy Christian places that were then under Muslim rule. Though this was an impassioned religious war, it was established so pilgrims could make safe journeys to Jerusalem and Holy relics were secure. The Jerusalem cross banner was gold on a silver background and is currently found on the medal of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre, which is presented by the Pope. The four crosses are symbolic of the four wounds of Jesus and the four Gospels, the centre cross being the combination of God/Jesus/Holy Spirit. The Jerusalem/Crusaders cross is a major symbol representing Christ’s command to spread the Gospel around the world beginning in Jerusalem. This cross is deeply connected to the search for the Holy Grail and all its connected mystery. Use this empowered and enigmatic cross to renew your faith in a devoted and peaceful way.
