Avebury stone circle in Wiltshire is a Neolithic henge monument containing three stone circles, dates to around 3000BC. This UNESCO world heritage site used for rituals and ceremonies is the largest stone circle in the world. The surrounding area has ancient burial chambers and mounds, making this one of Britain’s early centres of development. This ancient place is used by modern pagans and popular with tourists alike. One cannot help but be draw in by the mystery and stature of the stones.
