Atlantis Choker – Ancient Sites
The island of Atlantis is one of the most talked about ancient civilisations because it has never been formally identified. There are many possible locations in the Atlantic Ocean, but certainly it was talked about by ancient philosophers. Plato’s Timaeus & Critias: The people of Atlantis lived well, they domesticated animals, irrigated their crops, cities were built with harbours and fine temples, bridges and canals with walls and gates were constructed to join the rings of sea around the island. The king of Atlantis was at war with Greece for total domination and Greece was victorious. Sometime after the battle a terrible natural catastrophe sank the island below the waves, making it a dangerous place for ships to pass. Is the island mythical or real? There have been volcanoes and tsunamis that have hidden cities for 2000 years; there are many remnants of cities under the sea. The search goes on.
