Ancient Mother Goddess – Ancient Sites, Necklace, Brown/Natural

The ancient mother goddess came before all mainstream religions. More than 200 figurines of voluptuous woman goddesses with hints of clothing, headdresses and hair are made from, pottery, stone, ivory and bone; they represent some of the earliest artwork. The figurines exemplify growth, fertility and the spiritual development of early humans. The statues of early goddess worship date between 35,000-11,000 BCE. They are often called Venus figurines (Venus of ……., though not connected to the Roman Venus) because one was named after the Roman Goddess. With towns, temples and shrines dedicated to later mother goddesses the beliefs managed to survive eras of patriarchal religion. The divine feminine practices are potent and practical as they were in ancient times and every new discovery speaks of this lost history. Feel the strength of great mothers before you.
