This being is a symbol of rebirth, representing the cycle of new growth that occurs in spring. The Green Man is most commonly depicted in sculpture with a face completely surrounded by leaves. The face of this ancient Celtic nature spirit was carved into stone and eventually found its way into churches and gardens. The green man could easily be a symbol of modern times as people reconnect to nature and rally against climate change. Honour the green man by respecting and protecting nature.
